Exhibition 2012
From May, 11th till November 8th 2012 I've shown my pictures in the rooms of the Anwaltsbürogemeinschaft am Landgericht Hannover, Volgersweg 4 A, 30175 Hannover.
The subject is "Forms in Colours".

The exhibition "Forms in colours" was showing paintings experiencing the different elements of painting. Similar to desciptions of music based on notes, harmonies and rhythm every painting is defined by it's use of colours and shapes. You can find works round both elements in this exhibition: individual assoziations to the meaning of colours and various compositions aranging shapes and structures.
The shown paintings are created since 2002 with acrylic colours on canvas mainly using the spate.
In the period from 2002 to 2005 I' ve payed attention to the four fundamental colours and my assoziations to their character and symbols.
To watch changing impressions and colours of the ocean is absolutely fascinating to me. The paintings are inspired by various holidays at the Algarve in Portugal.
Every year in spring the nature comes to life again. A good reason to develop compositions in fresh green and sunny yellow.
Red is the colour of fire, love and passion. It's symbolizing power and permanent vitality as one of the four elements.
A half year visit in South Africa changed my way to paint significantly. The archaic rituals, myths, shapes and decorations inspired to work more with the structure of a painting than to start from the colour point of view.
The following years I experienced how shapes and structures are getting alive on a painting. These compositions were created in 2008 and 2009 using experimental techniques.
I was interested in the flow characteristices of acrylic colours, so I poured colour on the canvas in regular shapes or by chance and worked it out.
